In the second quarter of 2025, the top-performing news and magazine applications on the Android platform in Turkey showed varied trends in downloads, revenue, and active users. This analysis, based on data from Sensor Tower, provides insights into the performance of these apps.

X (Formerly Twitter) saw a fluctuating pattern in its weekly downloads, peaking at around 64K at the end of March before experiencing a decline and later stabilizing around 45K by the end of June. Revenue remained relatively stable throughout the quarter, averaging around $23K weekly, with a slight increase towards the end of June. The app's active user base showed resilience, maintaining over 10M weekly users, with minor fluctuations.

Sözcü Gazetesi - Haberler experienced a steady decline in weekly active users, starting from 155K and dropping to around 112K by the end of the quarter. Downloads remained modest, averaging around 400 per week. Revenue saw a notable spike in late April, reaching $1.4K, before settling to lower levels.

Medium maintained stable weekly downloads, hovering around 300. Revenue displayed a consistent pattern, mostly staying between $250 and $300 weekly. Active users showed a gradual decline over the quarter, starting at 10K and ending around 9K.

Le Monde, Live News had minimal weekly downloads, rarely exceeding 40. Weekly revenue was also modest, averaging around $170. The active user count remained consistent, with minor fluctuations around 140.

The Economist - World News showed a steady decline in downloads, settling at around 50 by the end of June. Revenue varied significantly, peaking at $316 in late June. The active user base remained stable, averaging around 400.
